Conversation Map Some people attack when disagreement appears. Others vanish. A third option is to keep the bridge and mark the difference. The point is to make an invisible moment visible enough that you can treat yourself and other people with more skill. Conversation Map Instead of Try "You always..." "The pattern I notice is..." "Forget it." "I need a pause, and I will come back at..." "I am fine." "I am not ready to explain yet, but I am affected." "Do whatever." "The part that matters to me is..." The goal is not perfect language. The goal is language that keeps dignity in the room. Try It Once Say: here is where I agree, here is where I see it differently, here is what I still want to protect between us. Make It Yours Lower the intensity until the action is repeatable. Add one person if doing it alone makes it unsafe. Measure usefulness by clarity, steadiness, or connection, not by perfection.
